Those utilizing Region 8 Archives will be charged a research fee. There is no fee for researching within the Seminary's Manuscript and Archives collections, however research performed by the staff on your behalf would be charged the same rate as genealogy searches. Daily Research Fee is $20
Scanning and photocopying must be performed by staff; fees are:
Non-flash photography is allowed, with permission of the archivist.
If search is being performed in relation to the creation of a congregational history (commissioned by the congregation), no daily fee is charged, but scanning and photocopying fees do apply.
We accept cash, check or card payment (available in person only).
Baptism, confirmation, burial, or membership-related:
Researchers must provide us with as much of the following information. This information is necessary to confirm that the information they need may exist.
An initial, quick check of our records to confirm if we may have the information requested is free. However, after that, the hourly fee must be paid, regardless of our search being successful.
The Archives are open by appointment, Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm.

Because each member synod provides some funding to the Region 8 archives, the first hour of research for any request is free. Synod funding does not cover the full cost of maintaining the archives and so all other needs are on a cost recovery basis (with heavy discount on our hourly research rate).
